The Nakamura Lock
Type: Glider
Difficulty: Easy
If you make a Nakamura Lock following the instructions correctly, but are still having problems flying it then these are your instructions. First, you must know not to throw it to hard; the plane has large wings, and has plenty of LIFT. But if the wings are to large, then it has too much lift. To help counter that we must some how slow the plane down. This can be done by taking the very back of the plane and cutting in two places with one above the other. MAKE SURE THAT YOU CUT BOTH LAYERS OF PAPER. Once that is cut, take each layer of paper and fold them out at an angle just below 90 degrees. This is what the SPEED BRAKES should look like when you are done.
If you have done the speed brakes right, then the plane should slow down and fly better. Now, let’s talk about walt to do when the plane has wings that are too small. These wings will not provide enough lift. What you should do is look at the middle on the bottom of the plane. There should be two layers of paper at one point on the bottom. The second layer should be like a handle to hold the plane up. Take each side and cut them twice apart, in places far enough apart. Then, fold each FLAP up at a 45 degree angle. This is what it should look like.
If that does not cause enough lift, then cut mini flaps INSIDE the original flaps. Here is a picture of the mini flaps and the full body.
If you have folded a plane perfect, and are sure you folded it right, but it still doesn’t fly, then make the changes shown above. If the plane still doesn’t fly right, then what do I suggest? Easy, grab a new piece of paper and make a new one.
Stunts
In this section I will show you how to make your plane do stunts! First you would want to know how to make your plane spiral. Tip: Any plane can spiral. To do so make the same cut that you would to make the speed brakes. Then, instead of pulling each layer out inthe opposite directions you would push both layers right (To turn right) or left (To turn left). You can now make your plane do a spiral!
Next you could make your plane flip. Tip: Gliders and darts don’t flip well. To do this, look at the very back of the plane, then on each side, cut ELEVATORS out by cutting two small snips out of the paper about two and 1/2 cm. apart. Next fold them 89 degrees upward. Your plane can now flip!

Yes I remember that day. We had fun.
I love reading through and I conceive this website got some genuinely useful stuff on it!
